Care Management

An initial telephone consultation is rendered without cost. Ongoing Care Management by a master's level Social Worker is charged at $90.00/hour. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Home or hospital visits
  • Travel time
  • In-person or telephone consultations with the client, family members, health providers or others
  • Correspondence
  • Written care plans
  • Counseling
  • RN Services

Home Help Registry

There are two ways in which our placement fee can be paid:

1. Payment of total fee.
Some clients prefer to pay the entire fee immediately. The one-time Options for Aging placement fee is an amount equal to two week's salary of each person placed (unless this total exceeds $750 per person, in which case it is rolled back to that amount).

2. Payment of a per diem fee.
A per diem fee plan is available. If the caregiver works less than four hours a day, the placement fee is $7.50/day. If the caregiver works from 4 to 12 hours a day, the placement fee is $12.50/day. For jobs over 12 hours a day our placement fee is $15/day. This fee ends when the job ends, or when the paid fee totals an amount equal to two week's salary of the caregiver, or $750.00, whichever comes first.

When you hire a caregiver through us, this person becomes your employee and is paid directly by you. The placement fee is billed to you separately and is mailed from our office. This fee covers:

  • an initial home or hospital visit;
  • consultations with all concerned parties;
  • placement of a carefully screened caregiver (based on information given to us by the caregiver, available through public records and our own experience with that person);
  • placement monitoring by a master's level Social Worker;
  • employer-employee mediation;
  • replacement of or substitution for any caregiver within the first 50 days of the initial placement. (This time may be extended at the discretion of Options for Aging, Inc.)
